Letter from HOS

January 15, 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for your patience in these uncertain times and endless support of Anderson Creek Academy. Yesterday, we informed you that one of our beloved teachers tested positive for COVID-19. All of the parents/guardians of children in contact with that teacher have been personally contacted and informed if their child needs to quarantine. Last evening we found out that another one of our dear teachers has tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, this teacher did not have close contact with any students during the contagious period. Unfortunately, after spending the day today doing contact tracings, these two positive cases have resulted in an additional 8 teachers that will require quarantine in accordance with CDC guidelines due to close contact with the two teachers who are positive for COVID-19. With 10 of our teachers out for the foreseeable future due to isolation or quarantine, we will not have the available staff to allow us to operate effectively in a face-to-face learning environment until WEDNESDAY JANUARY 27, 2021. The good news is that we will be able to provide a remote learning environment for all of our students between now and then. We look forward to the day when the novel coronavirus is behind us and we can all return to unrestricted face-to-face learning!! Until then we are grateful to all of you for your flexibility in an ever-changing environment. We hope our teachers with COVID-19 enjoy a swift and smooth recovery and we hope that this decision results in keeping the health and safety of our remaining students, teachers, and staff fully protected.
