Julie Morris

I am originally from North Carolina but just recently moved back. My family and I moved to the Middle East in 2010 and took a two-year contract and stretched it to 9 years! We loved it, embraced it and were amazed by the many possibilities and opportunities for me as an individual and as a family that opened up. 

My husband, Mark Morris, who is starting his 30th year of educational experience, has joined our ACA Community. Our son, Connor, is living in Amsterdam working for Uber as GSO Strategic Planning Operations and our daughter, Maura, finished her Master’s in Psychology and is working as Corporate Recruiter for Foot Locker located in Rotterdam. My experience over the years has been in the educational field, student support and case managing for non profit working with underprivileged youth.

I am in my 15th year of education, yet I am continually amazed how every year I seem to learn more about teaching and working with others. I have been at ACA two and half years that started with a half year teaching grade 3 and now finishing a year with kindergarten. I am looking forward to getting to know each student as a learner and individual. 

I hold a BS in Human Development and Family Studies Concentration in Child and Adolescent Development 1992 from UNC-G and am working towards K-6 NC Licensure through Teachers of Tomorrow
